"In fact, if you have an IV in place, the rule is, “you can’t leave the unit”. Reason being…, someone may want to go into the parking lot, and “shoot up”…."

Hadn't thought about it; somewhat plausible. (But who stashes drugs for shooting up in a hospital parking lot?)

How about iatrogenic medicine quit insisting on injecting everything? Whence do they think drug abusers get the idea?

indeed. Many years ago, the few vaccines we got were in oral form. Since when does everything have to be in a needle? We are not pin cushions!

Smallpox variolation must be scratched in, but the needle need not be hollow.

No (hollow) needles! Save those for chemistry lab column chromatography and anaerobic procedures.

Yes indeed. As a grandma, it is disheartening to see how many people turn away from exercise and diet, and go for the most probably harmful drugs. With a side of making excuses or finding someone/something to blame. And intermittent fasting is soooo hard, y'all. FFS.

Also, as a grandma - my family was very poor when I was growing up, no money for doctors. A doctor was considered a luxury item Complaints over the years that evidently I did not love someone if I did not whisk them to a doctor at every little thing. But now - very gratified that when I said oh, no, no, no to The Jab, my family listened and took that advice. 79, and still no prescriptions.

muiltiple choice modules are a fake exam. How can you judge if someone knows the matter, by a multiple choice? I know someone who passed a Spanish test without knowing even some basics. I think there are multiple reasons for someone being obese, and one is that doctors now call you obese where 50 years ago you would be just barely overweight, just like you now have high blood pressure where 50 years you were not. And there are quite a few more reasons. But there is NO reason at all to forbid people to go outside, enjoy the sun, a swim, a walk with the dog, things that make us feel good, happy, healthy. And doctors - stay away from them unless no other possibility! No yearly physical for me!

Poor doctors, how you expect them to afford all their toys and travel???

Why would a patient want to 'shoot up' in the parking lot? There are enough harmful drugs in the building to last someone a lifetime. Not that patients would last very long mind you.

THE GREAT CHOLESTEROL MYTH and LIES I TAUGHT IN MEDICAL SCHOOL are two great books that agree with Grandma.

The carb culprits are Wheat, Potatoes, Corn and Rice and their derivatives. Soda pop is full of high fructose corn syrup which causes fatty liver disease like an alcoholic starts with. Carbs turn to sugar and if not burned through work or exercise turns to fat.

Most cooking oils are deadly.

Real lard my mom and grandma used to cook with are far healthier.

Eat BUTTER instead of margarines. Eat real meat and eggs.

It is how so many of my rancher friends live into their 90s.

Complete opposite of the government food pyramid that most doctors still believe.

Maybe the problems that arise from these doctors is so they can peddle more of their drugs.

Agree . . .except for lard as PORK ANYTHING is considered Biblically " unclean" and a great cause of cancer. Olive, Avocado, Coconut, and Grapeseed oils are clean and more healthy to cook with, but the less heating of them may be more healthy.

the opposite is all too frequently true.

Sounds like Your gramma and Mine would have gotten along well. Mine taught Me that She had found the best way was the natural way. And I have opted for the natural whenever I had a choice!

Gramma lived to 101, and I'm nigh 70 and People think I'm 50. Or younger. LOL!

Hospitals work against a lot of things Grandma taught us. But then, Hospitals aren't "get well" places; they are places to treat symptoms. Test, test, test, that the doctor ignores.

HA! I did not have a Grandma to learn from or even a helpful mother. But I became a health conscious Mom and now a Grandma of 9-year old twins Faith and Grace who benefit from their Mom. Good Health is a blessing to pass on! HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY! 🌺 🌼 🌷 🌻
