I understand how big the universe it better than you and you really don't want to have that knowledge. We are very very very small in the scope of things. I envy you that you can still have faith, I can't have it anymore. I have seen tons of death, I've seen joy as well. I used to do dog rescue where you take in a little life of this creature, and quite often they were abused, and turn them around and show them life can be wonderful - that was ENORMOUSLY rewarding, but all of them are now dead. I had 20 dogs and when my dogs die, the ones I adopted because they needed ME, they really couldn't be adopted out, when they died, a portion of me died as well. It's been years, really a portion of me is dead with them. These two neglected and abused animals, I showed them the best life, only to have to end their lives after 14 years with them, spending all my intellect to keep them alive and healthy and happy, it's killed a portion of me to euthanize them.

So, when we are adopting out dogs, we have to make them appealing to the public, so that was the cutest picture I could compose at that time. She died on May 9, 2017, and I still grieve for her. Whoever had her before, beat her. When I took her home, in the car, we was so fearful that as she sat on the floor, she gently put her head in my lap. I nearly burst into tears. Really was a joy to turn her around, but it's left me empty with her death, and that's "just a dog". She was so desperate for a kind person, and I was that, but I had to euthanize her. I gave her a good life, but I'll never forget that first day. Poor animal. Why are people so cruel?
Now it's been 5 years since I had to put her down. I will always feel this way, and so my nightmare is I will exist forever. I thought I'd get over it, it's obvious I won't. I can't heal. I have an imperfect perfect memory. I remember only the worst of my life, not the best of it. There's no nostalgia for me. If there's kharma, I must have been a real piece of shit in a previous life. IF this is the case, I've really learned my lesson.

I was raised Catholic as well. Purgatory isn't mentioned in the Bible.
If there's a god, it's unimaginable. Well beyond our comprehension, perhaps we're nothing to it, we may be an afterthought or nothing more than side effect to whatever its doing.
I was sucked into life, now I have to deal with it, existence is something that if I had any possibility to prevent, I think I would have. My fear is that I will have eternal existence, I want this to end at some point.
Your words seem VERY SAD to me to read and so against the message of the Bible. I do know how hard life can be! All Christians are Roman Catholic in belief whether they think so or not. The Bible says that we are made in the image of Yahweh The Creator of EVERYTHING. Genesis 1:27 Yahshua His Son came so that we may have life (including eternal life) and have it more abundantly. I apologize if I've disturbed you, but I have a perspective that I'm frankly glad you don't have. I understand how big the universe it better than you and you really don't want to have that knowledge. We are very very very small in the scope of things. We have looked into the abyss and seen it, it's HUGE, time is infinite, space is infinite. If there's an intelligence behind all that, it's unimaginable. It would be like a bacterium thinking I was concerned about its welfare - that kind of gulf in comprehension and mind but BILLIONS of times larger of a gap. God, if it exists, it's incomprehensible to me if it's even personally aware of me, that it cares about me in any way at all.
I envy you that you can still have faith, I can't have it anymore. I have seen tons of death, I've seen joy as well. I used to do dog rescue where you take in a little life of this creature, and quite often they were abused, and turn them around and show them life can be wonderful - that was ENORMOUSLY rewarding, but all of them are now dead. I had 20 dogs and when my dogs die, the ones I adopted because they needed ME, they really couldn't be adopted out, when they died, a portion of me died as well. It's been years, really a portion of me is dead with them. These two neglected and abused animals, I showed them the best life, only to have to end their lives after 14 years with them, spending all my intellect to keep them alive and healthy and happy, it's killed a portion of me to euthanize them.
You can believe in the Bible, and I envy you for it, but to me, it's no more real or holy than Roman mythology. I hope there is a soul, if any creature on this planet deserved it, it was my dogs. What you put into them in terms of care and happiness, they reflected back TWICE as much. I hope they exist in some form, but I doubt it. Saying goodbye forever, is just a terrible thing.

So, when we are adopting out dogs, we have to make them appealing to the public, so that was the cutest picture I could compose at that time. She died on May 9, 2017, and I still grieve for her. Whoever had her before, beat her. When I took her home, in the car, we was so fearful that as she sat on the floor, she gently put her head in my lap. I nearly burst into tears. Really was a joy to turn her around, but it's left me empty with her death, and that's "just a dog". She was so desperate for a kind person, and I was that, but I had to euthanize her. I gave her a good life, but I'll never forget that first day. Poor animal. Why are people so cruel?
Now it's been 5 years since I had to put her down. I will always feel this way, and so my nightmare is I will exist forever. I thought I'd get over it, it's obvious I won't. I can't heal. I have an imperfect perfect memory. I remember only the worst of my life, not the best of it. There's no nostalgia for me. If there's kharma, I must have been a real piece of shit in a previous life. IF this is the case, I've really learned my lesson.
