The Placebo effect as explained by Roderick, a character in the Netflix Series about the corruption of Big Pharma (see below). The creator of this series is Mike Flanagan, which hosts some excellent writing. How satisfying AT LAST to watch a show based on reality presented with a dark, element of “Poe-e-tic” justice. For those who haven’t seen it, I highly recommend.
Denial. It's amazing how far you can get on denial. You know why so many people use denial to get by? Because it really fucking works. The thing about denial is sometimes problems do just go away on their own, so it makes it feel like denial works. The placebo effect. Sometimes it works, like I said. But other times, it doesn't. It really fucking doesn't.

Denial is the placebo for the Covid madness. Some folks are still alive while others…maimed or dead. By allowing the Covid narrative to fade into, now we’re all just going to have to live with it, denial is justified.
The Fall of the House of Usher is a story about guilt and the harm we inflict on others, woven with threads of madness from the writings of Edgar Allan Poe.
Upon its head, with red extended mouth and solitary eye of fire, sat the hideous beast whose craft had seduced me into murder, and whose informing voice had consigned me to the hangman. I had walled the monster up within the tomb!

Sometimes the placebo effect works but other times, it does not, it does not…
IT DOES NOT
P.S. Highly recommended the Netflix, The Fall of the House of Usher!!!
Great article, but I fear it may work with covid, after all the hiv-aids bs is still going.
Disappointed that you felt that you needed to drop the F-bomb to express your feelings Dee Dee. In the time that I'm from, ladies didn't talk like that and men didn't use that language around women or children. Godly men don't use that language at all. Oh well, the end is drawing near
